Welcome, Please Make Yourselves Feel at Home

Foremost, hello and welcome to the new website for our West Coast Latvian Education Center! For those of you that do not know me, my name is Roland Upenieks and I have taken over the role of webmaster for WCLEC. The last handful of months have been spent overhauling the old website into something fresh and modern. The majority of the work for the near term has been completed, and I feel that it’s time to offer you all something a little more substantial than the splash page that had taken the place of our website. Without further adieu, welcome!

Feedback & Features

RKLIC.org is, and will continue to be, a work in progress. I have designed the site with growth in mind and I am eager to hear what suggestions you have to improve our shared home. I cannot, realistically, promise to implement every suggestion, but it is my goal to listen to the community and evaluate every idea brought before me. With that said, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at webmaster@rklic.org! Whether feedback, reports on errors or bugs you found, or whatever else it may be, this site is designed to work for the WCLEC community and I encourage your participation in making it a better place!

New Site, New Domain

As you may or may not have noticed, our website has moved to a new domain. Formerly rklic.com, we have adopted rklic.org in its stead. This change was intended to better reflect our mission and values and an organization (.org) and differentiate ourselves from commercial (.com) entities.

What does this mean for you? From here on out I strongly encourage adoption of rklic.org not just for the sake of being correct, but because you’ll receive a faster (albeit marginally) experience using our site. Fret not, rklic.com will continue to work and re-direct you here, as will wclec.org and wclec.com.

Again, Welcome

I’m excited to finally be revealing this site and to hear your feedback and your opinions. I believe this new site is a solid step forward, but I am, admittedly, a little biased. One more time, welcome to the new site, and I am eager to hear your thoughts!
